Have a 22upper for practice. What scope would you recommend? Thanks!

I use a Leupold 1-7 power scope on a Leupold mount.
This was not a very expensive scope- about $200. (I'm not at home to look at the model number.) I leave the variable setting on 4 power. I use this to practice indoors in the winter, and have shot CMP Sporter matches with it.

You will want the adjustable objective version of the Leupold Rimfire scope if you shoot indoors at 50ft. It runs about $400.

What scope do you have on your service rifle ?

Hebes405 asks a good question. The best scope is probably the same one you use on your service rifle. That is, if it has an adjustable objective if you plan shooting short distances.

That is the main reason I choose the white oak scope for my service rifle. I just swap it on my 22 upper when I want to practice with . 22 in the back yard or indoors during the winter. Then I just put it back ony HP upper when I want to shoot for real.

I use a Leupold Mark AR MOD 1 1.5-4 x 20. This was a joint venture with White Oak Arms, and is now discontinued.

Best answer is exact same scope on your service rifle. Best functional answer is any decent 4.5x scope of similar eye relief & reticle. Have relatively inexpensive Simmons on my 22 because didn't want to spend $500 for another WOA Leopold that would get zeroed @ 50 and stay there. Tracking not an issue. Extra $400 for ammo a better issue.
