Interesting mix of rifles and barrels. Any one of them could be your best shooter. Of course I'm most fascinated by seeing yet another LEAD. Would not have predicted a 1944 barrel on that one.

All these SG's coming out now are very pristine. They seem to be a cut above the average condition I have usually looked at in the North Store racks.

Any chance more pics of the LEAD?

WOW!

Nice score! I hope the RM1's I ordered in early May look that nice! My sticky was for original bbl's and USGI furniture. I'm hoping my donation helped!

Your LEAD is great looking. Nice round lugs on the trigger guard should mean pretty tight lockup. Have you looked in the trap door? Sometimes LEAD included complete cleaning kits.

Are you going to shoot it?

No cleaning kit and it definitely has tight lockup, it was hard to breakdown... not real keen on the pumpkin handguard, but i read they did that on them.

Many of the 60's rebuilds have mismatched wood. I've gotten 4 or so like that. I swapped wood on a few of them many years ago and have left only one mismatched alone. If I had to do it all over again I would have left them all alone because - history.... But yes, the mix of colors is a bit off-putting to the eyes.
