Good luck!

But unfortunately, most likely they wont have any standard service or field grades.

They may have an IHC Gap letter at $2000 or a M1C at over 3K or M1D service grade at $1555?

They have not been stocking it with $650 or $750 FG or SG's in awhile, especially since their 4 months or so behind on sending out SG's.

Exactly the case. Still worth it to get my 1903A3

Just walked in the door from the 5 hour drive from the CMP. They had 30+ 1917s (mostly Eddystone, maybe 2 Remington, no Winchester, half service grade, half field grade) and 20+ 1903a3s (all Remington, mostly service grade). Maybe 10 Garands (all IHC except one Springfield and one HRA)

Walked out with a gorgeous 4/43 Remington 03a3 and a pristine Remington 1917. Both service grades with original barrels and stocks

I guess this answered the question of how many bolt action rifles you can buy during a visit to the TMP. TWO, one of each annually, guess the TMP front desk got it wrong.

Default A morning at the range store

My buddy Paul and I were first in line this morning. I knew there would not likely be any SG Garands I looked over the 6 mil, the 4 mil Gappers and the M1Cs / M1D rack, but could not see anything that would make me want to open my wallet.
Not interested in the 1917s so took a close look at the 1903-A3s and found a real nice Service Grade Remington that looked to be all there and with a well-marked Remington stock. The tag said 2 on the ME but my gauge said 1.5. I liked it so it went home with me.
Also looked thru the M1 Bayonets and found a couple that appeared to be unissued so bought those as well.
100 rounds of Match M2 finished out my day.
Also had the joy of seeing Jim Adell and Don Kemps of the GCA there for the competition. I always enjoys the GCA Directors when I get a chance to see them. I wish them both good luck in the competition for the D-Day Matches.

My buddy Paul had much the same day but purchased a real nice WRA 1917 and a couple of the unissued M1 Bayonets.
There were still a couple of those bayonets available when we left.

With only 20 minutes to spend in the store this has to be the fastest trip to buy rifles I ever made.

I hope they get Garands back in the stores soon. I am struggling with a bit of withdrawl

Rob

Prices on the 03 and 03A3’s, along with the grades of 1917’s. Where do I find this info? Thanks!

i have a fulton gauge and also noticed the 4+ TE on my CMP tag wasn't over 3.5 on my gauge. the 2+ CMP MW was accurate, about 2.25 for mine. does CMP round up?
